Datuk Dr Ong has been a member of the Board since 2011 and is currently the Chair of the Foundation.
Datuk Dr Ong graduated with an MBBS from the University of Singapore in 1966. He holds a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the same university and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Datuk Dr Ong has worked in government hospitals from 1966 to 1977. He commenced private practice as a Consultant Physician at Assunta Hospital in 1978, a position he still presently holds.
